Water!

I know we all know how important water is. We know we should drink at least 6-8 glasses a day. We know all sorts of things....but do we all listen?

I am horrible about drinking water. I don't like the taste...unless I am dehydrated and REALLY thirsty. I use flavorings to increase my H2O. I have good days...and I have bad days.

In the last few weeks I have had a lot going on. As many of you all know I have injured my back and have had a lot of pain. I finally went to the dr to get checked out and he put me on a steroid dose pack. Steroids tend to make me thirsty!!. So I have been drinking lots of water!!

But thinking back, the whole week I was off for my 'vacation' I drank water. this is largely because we are short on funds....and well ...water is semi-free!! I have been drinking both plan and flavored water. I actually kinda like it it now!

But the best part is how I feel. Being hydrated is great!! My skin looks better!! And the best thing is...I lost 4lbs, without even trying!!

So I'm here to tell you to drink your water... You can do it. Find a way...I did!

Eating out.

I have a problem when I eat out. Portion control. And not just overeating. I tend to order something that i know will have large portions.

I have an irrational fear of small portions! I always worry that I will order a meal and still be hungry afterwards!

This vary rarely actually happens.

I think it stems from my dad not understanding portions. He was horrible at shopping. either got too much or too little food.

This wan't until I was older and he was in charge of this sort of thing. We either had enough food to feed an army or we barely had enough to feed 2 of us, much less 3 of us.

I am trying to break this habit. I have good days and bad days. More bad than good. I am going to work on this if it kills me.

Any suggestions?
